What they share
Both are GCI folding outdoor rockers, both rock smoothly, and both fold up easily for transport. I rocked on both in grass and a field and they worked fine on uneven ground. Setup is quick either way: the Freestyle XL unfolds and the seat presses down to lock, and the Comfort Pro just unfolds open.
Where the Freestyle XL pulls ahead
The Freestyle Rocker XL is the more comfortable chair. The base is sturdier, there’s more support under the seat, and it feels like the more durable, higher quality build. It also has a fold-up side table with cup holders and a spot for your phone. The table is hard plastic and feels strong enough to hold a plate at a barbecue.
The catch is moving it. It’s bulkier and there’s no shoulder strap, just a small handle on the side, so it’s more of a hassle to carry than the Comfort Pro. It also has harder armrests.
Where the Comfort Pro makes sense
The Comfort Pro collapses tighter. You fold it in by the corners, squeeze it together, and a strap on the side holds it closed. The Freestyle comes with a shoulder strap, so it’s the easier one to haul around. The Freestyle is still comfortable to sit and rock in, it just doesn’t have as much support underneath, so it’s not as comfortable over a long stretch as the Freestyle XL. Armrests are the soft outdoor-chair style.

The verdict
For most people I’d get the Freestyle Rocker XL. The Freestyle is noticeably more comfortable, it feels more durable, and the fold-up side table is genuinely handy at a barbecue or a campsite. You give up some portability for that.
If packing small and carrying easy matter more to you, the Comfort Pro is the better fit. It collapses tighter and the shoulder strap makes it simple to move. Just know you’re trading away some back support and the side table. Can you get by with the lighter one? Yeah. Do I think the XL is the better sit? For me, yes.
