What’s good
- Extract-first, then spray-and-scrub really does lift set-in messes you’d otherwise scrub by hand.
- The Pet Pro’s tanks pop off more easily than the standard Little Green, and the lids sit on top so they don’t drop off.
- Self-cleaning mode flushes clean water through the head and hose when you’re done.

The catch
- The Little Green is a portable spot cleaner, so the tanks are small, bigger jobs mean stopping to refill.
- You supply the scrubbing, and you’ll want to rinse the dirty-water tank after every use.
What it is
A portable spot and upholstery cleaner, not a full-size carpet machine. A clean-water tank (add Bissell’s solution) feeds the sprayer, and a dirty-water tank up front catches what you pull back out. The Little Green is the grab-and-go for pet accidents, upholstery, stairs and car interiors.
What I found using it
The technique that works: extract the mess first, then spray the solution and keep scrubbing and extracting until it’s gone, you can watch the dirty water get slurped up. The Little Green genuinely lifts set-in messes I’d otherwise be scrubbing by hand, and it’s one of my favorite tools for cleaning out a car.
What I like about the Pet Pro over the standard Little Green is the small stuff: the tanks come off more easily and their lids sit on top, so you’re not chasing a lid that wants to fall off every refill. The self-cleaning brush is the nice touch, pull it down and it flushes clean water through the head and hose so the tool doesn’t get gross. Because it’s portable the tanks are small, so big jobs mean refills, and you supply the scrubbing.
Who I’d tell to buy it
If you’ve got pets, kids, or a car that takes a beating, this is the one you keep by the door and actually reach for. For the worst stains I’d add Bissell’s Flex formula for extra bite. If what you really need is to deep-clean wall-to-wall carpet, get a full-size upright carpet cleaner, this is the spot fixer, not the whole-house machine.

Living with it
Judged as what it is, a portable spot cleaner, the Pet Pro is hard to fault. For the worst stains I’d reach for Bissell’s Flex formula for extra bite, but the everyday pet-accident-and-car-seat job is exactly where this shines.
The Pet Pro tweaks (easier tanks, top lids, self-clean) are small on paper but make it noticeably nicer to live with than the standard Little Green.
